Do you remember Coconut Madelaines or Castle Puddings? They were home-made favourites 50 years ago and are now undergoing a revival in the top restaurants serving Afternoon Tea or traditional puddings.

Silverwood Dariole Moulds work well because they are fully anodised, having superior release and an easy cleaning surface.

Whether you're making individual cakes, puddings, crème caramel or a savoury mousse, Dariole moulds will always be a useful addition to your bakeware.

A big advantage of the Silverwood Dariole Moulds is the silver anodised finish. It has easy-release, easy-clean properties and anodising seals in the alloy core - there are others on the market which are not anodised. Because the anodising is part of the metal, it can never peel off or blister. The basin can never become rusty, even if it is scratched.

The moulds are also made from a special alloy, which is one of the best conductors known. It distributes heat quickly and evenly, which can allow for a greater rise before a sponge sets, making it much lighter. In the fridge, jellies, mousse and chilled desserts all set more quickly.

Two sizes of Dariole Moulds are available:
Approx 2½" (5.8cm) top x2½" (5.8cm) height - Large
Approx 2" (5.4cm) top x 2" (5.3cm) height - Small

The approximate capacities are:
Large mould 140ml (5 fl oz)
Small mould 85 ml (3 fl oz)

We normally recommend the Large size for cakes, puddings and desserts and the Small size for savoury starters.
