But a Heart always shows loving and caring and celebrating an achievement or a birthday, can be just as meaningful as an anniversary. Our Heart-shaped Moulds can be used for both savoury courses, including starters, flans and quiches, as well as desserts, such as cheesecakes, tarts and even cakes. The Moulds have a "pencil-fluted" edge, which helps to make the final dish look quite classy. But it's when you use them to make a pastry case, that you'll find the real difference in the pastry. The Moulds are made from a special alloy, which is one of the best conductors known. It conducts heat evenly and quickly, so that your pastry doesn't have time to become dry. It will truly be some of the best pastry you have ever cooked or tasted. The excellent heat distribution and conductivity will also cook a quiche about a third faster than usual and will help to chill a cheesecake or other chilled dessert. And removing the cooked food is dead easy, because the Mould has a heart-shaped loose base. Just stand the dish on a small basin or cup and the sides will drop away leaving the savoury or dessert ready to serve, with a lovely fluted presentation. The Moulds will also make cakes and gateaux. Here we have made a single layer Passion Cake in the large Mould, but you can make a super Chocolate Gateau by sandwiching two together. The individual Heart-shaped Mould has a 12cm (4¾in) width.
