Bamboo Steamers have traditionally been used for centuries for steam-cooking vegetables, meat, poultry, seafood, fish, dumplings, etc in Asian cooking. They are just as effective for steaming western recipes. Our Bamboo Steamer Sets are made to catering quality standards and are available in two sizes. Each Steamer Set consists of 2 separate tiers which can be used separately or together and a close-fitting bamboo lid. The Steamer stands in a wok with water and you can either use 1 or 2 tiers. If you wish, you can also add extra tiers, much as the Chinese do when cooking dimsum. The Steamer will also fit over the rim of a saucepan. The closely woven bamboo lid absorbs the steam to prevent it from condensing and dripping onto the cooking food.
