Just put water in the base, freshly ground coffee in the filter basket and cold milk in the top pot. Place on the cooker and in 3-4 minutes, you have 2 cups of frothy cappucinno coffee with a genuine Italian taste. Available in 3 different finishes from the outrageous to the more refined; and that name! We can only assume that Bialetti's famous "little man with the moustache" must have had some part in it.
		The Mukka Express is so simple to use and with no electrical parts or computer chips to fail, it will be making perfect coffee until the cows come home. The base is heated on top of the stove and as the water boils, it passes through the ground coffee into the top pot. An ingenious patented valve channels steam through the milk to heat and froth it into an authentic cappucinno. The Mukka is designed to work on all the usual cookers, including gas, electricity, solid hotplates, ceramic and halogen cookers. It has a small safety valve to release any steam should you allow it to run dry. Water is filled to the inner mark (150ml) in the bottom pot and the filter basket containing ground coffee, placed in the top. The upper pot is screwed on and is filled with cold milk up to the indicated level (190ml). The centre knob has 2 positions - for frothy cappucinnos, just press it down - for milky lattes without froth, leave it unpressed. The lid is closed and the cappucinno button pressed down. The Mukka Express is placed on the stove top and within 3 or 4 minutes , the cappuccino is ready to pour. There is enough for 2 large cappucinno cups. We found it best to share the coffee between the 2 cups and then pour on the magnificent head of froth. After use, the valve can be removed and rinsed under the tap. The pot can be cleaned in the usual way. Bialetti have been making stove-top espresso coffee makers since the 1930's and of course, you can also make authentic espressos in the Mukka, if you leave out the milk. We thought that the Mukka Express was an amazing piece of versatile equipment that made excellent cappucinnos, lattes and espressos, all with an authentic Italian taste.
